Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have a solid relationship. Despite claims Justin's superstar status is overshadowing Selena, the two are still going strong. When Selena stepped out for the Vanity Fair Oscar party without her boyfriend, the rumor mill went into overdrive.

One gossip site had a very odd and ridiculous reason for Selena's solo appearance. Hollywood Life claimed a source told them, "Selena's camp doesn't want Selena to be known as 'Justin Bieber's Girlfriend' rather than an actress and a singer or entertainer." It seems a little late for that. No worries though, Selena's career is doing just fine.

Gossip Cop has proclaimed the rumor is absolutely false and the happy couple is doing just fine. Selena is not about to dump Justin to further her career. In fact, Justin kind of responded to the rumor with a message posted on his Twitter account. He wrote, "there is time to play...and then there are times to work hard and get my fans an album."

Justin and Selena did not spend the entire day apart. They were spotted leaving a Blockbuster Video earlier in the afternoon. They both have busy careers, but manage to find time to spend together. Pictures posted on a fan site dedicated to Justin, show the couple casually dressed as they left the store. Justin took the time to sign autographs while Selena jumped into a waiting SUV.

There will always be "trouble in paradise" rumors, but these two appear to be in a happy, healthy and committed relationship despite the tabloids reporting otherwise. Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez continue to prove they have what it takes to break the Hollywood relationship curse.
