Iyabo Ojo is a popular Yoruba actress, she joined the Nigeria movie industry in 1988.
She has been dreaming becoming a world famous actress since 1997 when she told Bimbo Akintola, it was her who took Iyabo Ojo to Keppy Ekpeyong in 1988, she gave her a note to Matabren who was doing an audition then Iyabo Ojo was given a sub-lead role while foluke Daramola played a lead role.
Since then Iyabo Ojo has become an esteemed actress in Nollywood, she is now writing and producing her own movies which include "Agogo Ide".The 34 year old actress has stared in over 300 movies. she says “I think. I have lost count. Three years ago, I could count about 150 movies, right now, I cannot really say how many”
Earlier 1998 her ability to interpret roles has placed her into the seat of reverence, she is now recognized as one of the top Nollywood actress and a great movie producer,Iyabo Ojo has been functioning both in acting and production of Nigeria n Films for the past 20 years with two years break because of her marriage between 1999 to 2001.Popular actress Iyabo Ojo has without any doubt, risen to the peak in Yoruba movie industry today. As one of the strong charming Yoruba actresses onboard, she was introduced to acting by Odunfa through the Association of Nigerian Theatre Practitioners (ANTP). Since then on much has happened in the life of this gifted actress.
The first appearance of Iyabo Ojo was in 1998 in an English production, she played the role of a wayward friend to Foluke Daramola in a movie titled "Satanic" She played the role of "Helen".
Iyabo ojo got married in 1999 and she took a break for her marriage and resume back to the big screen in 2001.
